Send HTML From AS/400

So I can read a text file in CL ok.. I want to send what is in the text file as the message. The boss thinks if they don't click on it they will read it at least. The problem is the LONGMSG creates the txt file and the msg parm is only good for 256 characters. So I was thinking what about if you can embed HTML code in it.. Anyone ever do this? Or is there a batter way to read that text file and display it in the body of the email?

does this have to be in CL?
I have multiple examples (on the site) of emailing HTML documents from good old RPG.

I don't care how it gets there. RPG is fine with me but how long can the msg be? This could be a 2 page report. I want to have the txt file in the file embeded.. any ideas?

The message could be roughly the size of the entire internet!
