  • CPYFRMIMPF performance

    Hi All,

I have almost 2243463 number of records which needs to copy into a member file. CPYFRMIMPF is taking almost 8 mins to complete the copy. I tried specify the ERRLEVEL *NOMAX. Still no improvement. Is there any other alternate way of copying this huge data. MY current Os is V7R2. So i couldn't use IFS_READ.
    Regards,
    Vinothkumar S.

Does the target file have a lot of indexes or Logical files ? In SQL Server, it can sometimes be faster to remove indexes, copy data, then recreate indexes. Not sure if that would help here, or be more trouble than it's worth.
