    Currently, the following screen is initially displayed with 2 decimal positions displayed

    Our management has requested that when this screen is initially displayed that the numeric field is blank filled
    and would be displayed this way

    However after they key something it is displayed like this.

    Is it possible to do this

    I am just the messenger, not my quirky idea.

    Use EDTCDE(K) if you want commas to also be displayed (example 1,234.56) or EDTCDE(M) if no commas (1234.56).

        Not that I would defend management, but in this case that request makes sense because if the .00 is displayed and someone enters a number (say 15) and tabs out of the field instead of using field exit, then you get 15000000.00 instead of 15.00, but with the field being all blanks, it works correctly even when tabbing out of the field (assuming you don't use an edit code that displays commas, if you do, then you get a field error).
