    That's weird -- going back to our system control file: there is only one key field and it's 5.0 zoned. I just wrote four programs:

    1) Chain (00010) SYSCTL; -- compiles, gets the correct value
    2) Chain 00010 SYSCTL; -- compiles, get the correct value
    3) Chain (10) SYSCTL; -- compiles, get the correct value
    4) Chain 10 SYSCTL; -- does not compile: RNF7078 -- Length of Factor 1 is not the same as the first key field in the file.

    I agree with Tom -- there seems to be some inconsistency regarding the "rules" of what is allowed regarding parens... but I can also live with it.

              Oh, well in that case... whew. I just didn't want any NEW perceptions... I'm aware of the long standing ones, I've work very hard at maintaining them
