Chrome browser not prompting for Logon on access to IBMi hosted page

For 99% of us, when we go to a page hosted on our IBMi, that is inside an instance that requires an authenticated user, this is what happens:

• IBMi response with error 401 Unauthorised
• Browser pop-ups a login prompt
• User inputs their IBMi user ID and password
• If user ID and password are correct, IBMi serves the requested page and any other requested pages for the remainder of the session

However for a couple of users, this is not working specifically with Google Chrome (it is working with Chrome for the rest of us, and Internet Explorer 11 (yes, I know... ) for all of us.
Instead, they get the following in Chrome:

• IBMi response with error 401 Unauthorised
• Chrome displays an "Authorization Required" error, and does not prompt for login

I assume there is something misconfigured in their installs of Google Chrome. However all the settings are locked down ("Your browser is managed by your organisation"), so we are relying on desktop support investigating for us. Any advice on what is necessary for Chrome to log into IBMi web instances would be appreciated.

I would guess that Chrome isn't allowing pop-ups.

Go to settings and search for pop - you will see a link for pop-up and redirects.
