I just want to say thanks for the help, tips & ideas you have provide over the past month. We finally got our http server working and some basic examples working as well, now we are digging into the in's & out's of cgi, pulling data out of html etc etc etc.
As you initially said, it is a tall order to explain the basics of cgi processing.
I think the biggest struggle for us was getting our http server configured correctly and then confirming that cgi was configured and working. Once we passed that hurdle it was a bit easier to find some examples & code & begin learning from them.
