Line Printer Replacement

We are considering replacing our IBM 6400 twinax attached printer with a new network attached Printronix P8000. Our experience has been with twinax attached printers exclusively. The 6400 has been a work horse for us. It is used for standard green bar reports and invoice printing and check printing. Please verify that PSF/400 is needed to provide control similar to what we have with our twinax printers. Any other advice from experienced users of network attached printers would be appreciated.
