    The media class is something that is customer defined and is basically used to define the type of media you are using. The WRKCLSBRM command will list the media classes that have been defined on your system so you should use the one that matches the type of media you are initialising or if one doesn't exist, create a new one to be used.

    All media needs to be enrolled in BRMS before use. You can use ADDMEDBRM to do this which allows multiple volumes can be added with the command.

  • BRM1481 Volume does not fall under the media management control

    I received a BRM message saying Volume Quot does not fall under the media management control. This is the first time I've ever encountered this message does anyone have any idea what this means and how do I add the volume to BRMS?
