The other day our i5/OS NetServer didn't restart. Looking at the logs it found that an IP address was invalid. Our main domain for our company had expired. Not my doing!!
We have two entries in our host table that are sub-domains of that main domain. One is smtp.mycompany.com and the other our_machine_name.mycompany.com
Is anyone familiar with what happens when the NetServer starts up? Did the NetServer really rely on this domain being valid to come up?
