Restoring V6R1 SAVF into Power9

Hi Everybody
I need your help
Is it possible to restore a SAVF file made on V6R1 machine into a Power9 machine ?
The team managing the Power9 machine says that we must have a minimum version which is V7R2 where the SAVF msut be made if we want to restore it in a Power9 machine.
Is it true ?
Any link of an official IBm documentation where I can check this kind of compatiblity ?

It should restore fine. Have you tried it?

Your team is thinking backwards. You cannot create a save file on V7R3 (or newer) that will restore to V6R1. However -- the way you describe it, you already have a save file for V6R1... you should have no trouble restoring it onto V7R3.
