JAVA to use - System Reply List Entries

Hello

I run Java under QSH

user JOBD has

Inquiry message reply  . . . . .   *SYSRPYL

the System Reply List Entries has:

2000    CPA32B2  I           *NONE

while running an ALTER statement I get the CPA32B2 error
the QSH abends with:

--- Check the statement (update failed).                                     
--- Cause: com.ibm.db2.jdbc.app.DB2SQLTimeoutException: Processing of the SQL
 statement ended.  [B]Reason code 10[/B].; nested exception is com.ibatis.common.jdb
c.exception.NestedSQLException:

I have two questions:

1 - My guess is that the error I get is CPA32B2 (I am not sure - how can I echo this error message ID within JAVA
2 - Do I need to define anything else to cause QSH use the System Reply List Entries
