How to turn off check constraint.

I have a test LPAR that somehow got some check cosntraints with Check Pending set to YES. Now - I have no problem with clearing out the offending data but how do I do it. I can't delete records because of it being in check pending (in my narrow minded view if I delete the records I'd remove the check pending)

If I try to disable the constraint it says it can't get a lock on the file. I do a WRKOBJLCK there aren't any locks on the file.....

when you did WRKOBJLCK did you hit F6 to make sure there were no member locks?

I thought I did - but evidently I did not as I ended one of our web applications and the problem went away - even the check pending itself.
