We are in need of a Programmer Analyst on a full-time (direct hire) basis with 8+ years experience in RPGIV, CL, SQL, Open Query, and ILE. Also requires embedded SQL (e/SQL) experience.
Local (Tampa) area candidates are strongly preferred.
Excellent opportunity to work in a corporate environment where you will be surrounded by experienced iSeries RPG programmers. You will work in a team environment on new development as well as maintenance and support of various corporate applications.
Candidates must have excellent verbal & written communication skills. Must be able to consult effectively with clients to gather information about program needs, objectives, functions, features, and input and output requirements. Will write and maintain technical specifications. Designs and codes screen layouts, user interfaces, printed outputs, and interfaces with other systems. Converts designs and specifications into computer code. Creates test transactions and runs tests to find errors and confirm programs meet specifications. Analyzes code to find causes of errors and revises programs. A Bachelor degree is desired. We strongly prefer someone with experience or knowledge of SQL views, joins, some back end in a DB2 environment. Strong ILE compiler experience to create objects, etc. is desired.
