  • AS400 Programmer/Analyst

    The position of Programmer Analyst will be responsible for reviewing business processes, helping to determine the functional and technical requirements, and delivering the proposed solution. The primary responsibility of the position is iSeries development. Therefore, the selected candidate must have extensive programming experience in a manufacturing environment. This role requires strong time-management skills and a strong foundation and working knowledge of the IBM AS400, COBOL/400, and American Software (ASI). This individual is expected to participate, by representing IT, on projects teams as well as perform the necessary development tasks. The selected candidate will have frequent interaction and communication with AOS members at all levels of the organization therefore, a poised, professional communication style is necessary. â?¢ Responsible for all phases of the development life cycle. â?¢ Communicating the recommended changes and obtaining buy-in from the company member community, including the respective members of Management. â?¢ Participating in activities associated with root cause investigation and corrective/preventive action implementation. â?¢ Leveraging IT solutions to drive continuous improvement throughout the organization.

    â?¢ BS degree in Information Technology or business degree with IT experience. â?¢ 3+ years programming experience in a manufacturing environment. â?¢ IBM AS400 experience, including CL development. â?¢ Advanced knowledge of ASI modules and module interoperability. â?¢ Advanced COBOL programming experience. â?¢ RPG experience a plus, but not required. â?¢ Results-oriented project management skills. Must be comfortable taking ownership for the success of the IT portion of projects. Must be able to produce and meet deliverables. â?¢ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to interact effectively with peers, users in functional areas, and all levels of Management. â?¢ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with root cause investigation experience. Ability to interact with other functional areas to resolve issues and create improvements. â?¢ Excellent time management skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and to meet deadlines.
