Title: Systems Administrator (iSeries)
Level: Senior

Duration: 6 Months to Full Time
Location: New Brunswick (Includes relocation assistance)
Salary/Rate: Negotiable depending on experience.
General Environment
Infrastructure: EMC2 SAN, Brocade Fabric, TSM, Cisco, pSeries, iSeries and xSeries, Windows Server.
Database(s): Oracle 9.2/10gR2 and SQL 2000/7.0
Operating System(s): OS400, AIX, ZoS
Job Function
o Responsible for iSeries Performance and Capacity Planning.
o Security Configuration and Management
o Software Upgrades and PTF Management
o LPAR Configuration (including HMC configuration)
o Knowledge of BRMS and SAN attached Storage
o Any Technical knowledge of UNIX, Linux or Windows Servers will be considered an asset.
o Working knowledge of Application Development Tools (WebSphere Development Studio)
• RPG ILE / Cobol / Java
• CLLE
• Query/400
• SQL
• SDA
• DFU
• SEU
o WebSphere Configuration and Management
o MQ Series Configuration and Management.
o Build and participate in Disaster Recovery Planning and Tests as required.
o Researches, monitors and communicates business and technology trends, as well as competitors’ use of technology
o Provides leadership and proposals about technological opportunities to the company for broad, diverse and complex functions
o Provides details (cost, benefits) of technology solutions to the company.
o Provides strategic guidance to technical staff
o Provides technical guidance and counsel to project teams to ensure alignment to business and IT strategies.
o Identifies new and changing technical skill set requirements
o Provides expert counsel to management during (technical) conflict resolution
o Represents the company at industry and external organizations
Experience/Education Requirements
• University degree/College Diploma and 6+ years experience in the IT industry
• AS/400 or iSeries Certification will be considered an Asset.
