Hello.
We're looking at replicating a handful of files in real time. They' be replicated to a separate box, probably via DDM.
We don't want third-party software like MIMIX simply because we don't want to deal with another vendor.
IBM software would be okay if it's true IBM i software and not Websphere something or something that sits on a PC server and talks to that server and has a web GUI blah blah blah ...
We could use journals but would rather steer clear if possible. They can be a pain to maintain and will take up a lot of disk (I know, disk is cheap but...).
One idea I had was to put a trigger on each of the files and CRUD to the respective "backup" file.
Has anyone tried something like this?
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks in advance,
Mike
