AS400 scanning software

Anyone know of any open source scanning software that can be used in conjunction with the AS400?

Broadly, we need to be able to scan a document, store it on a server and save it's location on the AS400.
And also from the AS400 be able to select a document and have the software launched, displaying the document.

How are you attaching the scanner to the 400? Typically, this would be thru a PC. If anyone at your shop can handle VB, then take a look at http://www.gogowishs.com/products/pictureviewerpro/ .

Storing the files on the 400 is easy. All you have to do is to point the drive to a mapped IFS location.

You can also quickly write a viewer using this as well.
