Advanced function print data stream (AFPDS) & PCL commands

Is it possible to mix AFPDS print files with PCL Commands? I want to control my font and use a PCL command to print an overlay.

I'm trying to print a form that requires a special font(Arial) in three different font sizes(8, 9 & 10) with a very detailed overlay that I have in the printer. I normally use a PCL command to get the overlays on my documents, but now I'm mixing fonts and overlays and thing are working but its kind of a mess.

I have now been told that AFPDS and PCL commands don't work together.
