Hi All,
Had a problem with a system board on a power 8 system, seems to be a troublesome range.
After replacing the system board it didn't boot, after booting from DVD all the drives are shown, but none have the * indicating an IPL disk, so presumably the lic system isn't seeing the drive as bootable. The data on the system is important and don't want to go through a restore, am thinking to restore the LIC from DVD but have never done this before whilst keeping the data, which option should I take to restore the code to the drive without damaging the OS or data. Perhaps someone has a better idea on resolution.
Unsure if the post gets read, as the forum looks very quiet, but any help would be great.
