Hi All,
We have designed an Invoice report with overlays using IBM Infoprint Designer. Designer has created single overlay, form definition and page definition.
We need 3 copies of same report one for customer, one for plant, one for shipper. So most of the overlay/form design is same but at the footer we mention the copy type.
When we are printing the invoice then collation is not happening. For e.g. the report is of 3 pages and it should print 3 copies i.e. 9 pages. It is currently printing page 1 of customer copy then page 1 of plant copy and then page one of shipper copy. We have checked for collate option but it is not present in Designer or not in either Form definition.
So we have created three form definition one for each and then printing the reports individually.
We want to combine all the spools file for an invoice into one and only then send it for printing as many users will be printing the invoices in parallel and since we split up the copies there is a chance that one copy of invoice will be printed and another copy of different invoice might get printed to the same printer as spools will be queued up in printer in first come first serve basis.
Since form definitions for all the 3 reports are different, is it possible to merge spools and if so how.
Is there any other better solution?
We are on V6R1.
