    Re: MICR check printing

    Jamie,

Can you recommend a vendor to purchase a set of MICR fonts from? I'm wondering if the font set I have is just not a good enough set. Please advise. Thanks.

          Re: MICR check printing

          Hey Jamie,

Have you ever gone down the path of looking at printers specifically designed to print MICR? I've seen several places that sell MICR printers, and I am wondering what it is that is special about the printer such that they can call it a "MICR printer". If it is that the quality of the print is somehow better then maybe that solves my current problem. So far all the fonts I've tried look exactly like the one I already have. From what the bank tells me my variances are so close that maybe a better print quality (we just an HP 4250 right now) would solve the problem. My print, according to the bank, is ever so slightly too narrow. So close that I am starting to think it has to be hardware.

Please let me know your thoughts on this. Thanks.
