  • Report Editing- fields shifting towards right

    Hi,

    While I am trying to edit a report, the fields are shifted towards right.

    I have to add Text, which should be printed on every output, its a company FT no on DC's.

    I tried adding in Header and Footer, but in both cases I am facing problem, fields shifting. Also tried in Detail part but here problem is existing fields are repeated along with the shift to right.

    Spool seems ok but when taking print, one last row is cut as the whole fields are shifted.

    Can any one help me in this regard, have you experienced the same.

    Thanks,
    Praveen.

      Suggest you bang up the DDS for the print file and maybe an example of the error ... someone may be able to help if they can see what you are facing.

        Re: Report Editing- fields shifting towards right

        Actually if you can post the DDS and indicate which fields are exactly causing the problem then we might be able to help out.

        In general, we have 3 separate record formats, one each for header, detail and footer. Also in most cases the below logic in RPGLE works out.

        Write Header
        Dow DetailsPresent;
        .
        .
        Write Detail;
        .
        .
        Enddo;
        Write Footer;

          Please find my DDS Code of the PRTF.

          I have replaced the Revision No with Tin No., however I can also fit the Tin No anywhere before Format No. is getting printed. Then also fields are getting shifted.

          Please also check the Snap shot sent.

          Thank you so much.
