  • Using DUPLEX in an AFPDS print file

I have a spool file question:

I'm trying to print duplex on a new xerox printer here in our main office. The printer is setup on IPDSServe and using a program from QSAMPLER that was provided by the vendor I was able to successfully print a duplex document to the printer.

My problem is that the software package we are using, has set up all of their print files as *SCS for the dev type and then using OVRPRTF statements they change the devtype to *AFPDS along with many other print file attributes. When I try to turn on duplex using this method it will not work and if I make the print file *AFPDS right from the get go - I get an error message (CPF3335) that tells me I can't change the DRAWER, DUPLEX or Front and Back overlays.

Anyone have ideas or suggestions? We have two print files that both print on blue paper and we don't want to have one drawer for plain blue paper and one drawer for blue paper with our invoicing terms on the back.
