  • CLP or CLLE compiler Directives

Hey, I was spoiled by being on a change management system for so many years that I can't remember if CLP or CLLE has compiler directives like those in RPGLE. Are they any?

sorry in my detailed investigation of the superb programming language of CL
has turned up no reference of a compile directive.
All my answers were extracted from the "Big Dummy's Guide to the As400"
and I take no responsibility for any of them.

Re: CLP or CLLE compiler Directives

There are some neat things coming in V6R1 CL -- similar to the /COPY in RPG or the #INCLUDE in C.

Thanks to the kindness of Guy Vig and Fernando Hurtado of the International Business Machines Corporation, I have information for you concerning V6R1 CL. For the third straight release, IBM has added solid features to the compiler. Since I use CL heavily, I greatly appreciate the effort. Here’s what you can look forward to when

Oh Chipper, I love you like my favorite glove, but there is nothing neat about CL.

in case you dont know the history of cl:
It was actually invented by the nite maintenace guy in Toronto.
He wrote it for his younger brother who was trying to automate
some of the functions he used while goat herding.

        Interesting read

If I'm not mistaken, his younger brother now trains goats so they are a lot more easy to herd. In fact, he makes an annual trip to Florida.
