  • Grouping in Logical File?

    Hi all,

    i have created a view:
    Code:
    create view wwsbefil.g602 as
     select distinct g6finr, g6arnr, g6§i
    from wwsbefil.g6
    G6 is a physical File.

Is this also possible with logical file?

    Thanks in advance
    Greetings from Austria
    Jürgen

      Hi Jürgen

You can create LFs with only the fields that you want to see as well as redefine the fields of the PF... and then use these redefined fields as key fields. But as Tom says, the DISTINCT would be a problem.

        Hi,

i will do the grouping in the rpg program. I was only interested if its possible within a lf based on dds.

        Thank you both for helping.
