I want to ftp files directly from as/400 to as/400 (no savf)
should I specify binary or ebcdic.

I remember one caused me problems last time.

Actually, you can specify EBCDIC (as in PF to PF) it works here.

That's good advice!

I tested it again. Actually binary seems to work better for me.
EBCDIC seems to randomly corrupt data, or abort even when both sides use same file structure.
