  • Unable to display window on top of screen in wide view (27X132)

I have an old inquiry program that uses two display files: one for regular screen size (24X80) and another for wide display size (27X132). Both display files have filters where the user can select criteria to filter the data on the subfile screen. All selection windows in the 24X80 file display on top of the screens correctly (so the screen underneath shows). But for some reason I can't get the selection windows in the 27X132 file to display on top of the screens without blanking out the screen below. (see attached screen shots)

Any ideas? I've made several different attempts using KEEP, ASSUME, RSTDSP...

If the window is 24 x 80 (it's hard to tell from the screen shots), then it can't overlay a 27 x 132 display (without clearing the display first) since the display can't be in both display modes at the same time. You would need an alternate window defined in the 27 x 132 format.

Are you sure you have the OVERLAY keyword specified on the window?
