Using Alias with DSPF

I specified the Alias keyword on a hidden field on a subfile record format. The DSPF compiled OK but my RPGLE program does not compile saying the alias field cannot be found (7030 error). There is no indication of any issue on the DSPF compile listing

Are you coding the ALIAS keyword in the RPG code? You mentioned that you are using ALIASes on the DDS side, but didn't say that you had coded the ALIAS keyword on the RPG side in order to bring in the alias names instead of the shorter names...

FYI: In a recent technology refresh, IBM improved the ALIAS feature. Take a look at the "What's New" section of the manual for details
