  • Access to multiple user for same DSPF screen

    Hi All,

In our project users have one issue with the Display Screen for display file (DSPF).

Issue is 2 or 3 user use the same email add/update screen when one more user try to access the same screen then it gives error and kick-out the new user. So basically multiple user cannot use the same display file screen so for multiple user how can I handle this situation? Is there any parameter required to give at the time of DSPF compilation?!!!

This is not the case of record lock situation when many users try to update the same database record rather it is issue with display file screen when many users try to access same screen.
    Please guide.

    Thanks,
    NIL
    Cheers...

do this again and show us the joblog for the the job getting kicked off. I bet it is record lock. We have tons of screens that are update and many users sit on them all day long.

You start by saying that multiple users ("2 or 3 user") can use the display file. Then you say that multiple users cannot use the display file.

Is the problem that you see a limit on how many users are allowed but the limit is too low? Or do you mean that there are 2 or 3 users that often need to use the file but only one at a time can do it?

There are only two hard things in Computer Science: cache invalidation, naming things and off-by-one errors.
