  • Dropdown DSPF - Again

    Hello.

I want to create a dropdown for a field in a record format in DDS.

I'm thinking back several years and seem to remember we created one without jumping through hoops.

I'm not talking about menu bars (MNUBAR), but something similar to MNUBAR and SNGCHCFLD combined and at any location on the screen: not all the options showed - you'd position your cursor on the field, press SPACE or ENTER, and a dropdown of the values would display. You then would select one of the values using the SPACE or ENTER key or mouse click.

I don't think we did a smoke-n-mirrors where we popped up a window. I thought it was native in the DDS. I just went through the DDS guide, searched this forum, and searched the internet and can't figure out how we did it.

I could be wrong and we popped up a window but I just can't remember.

    Anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks in advance,
    Mike

Thanks, Dag. But that occupies more than one screen line. We had a dropdown list. I'm sure of it.

      Maybe we smoke-and-mirrored it.
