not one i know of you would have to use an italics font!

Although i have to test it yet.

Also got to know that FNTRSC X0BIRI will also give italics output

Font information

This table contains the Advanced Function Presentation? (AFP?) compatibility fonts supported by the i5/OSŪ operating system.

Note: font number = Font global identifier (FGID)

my DDS AFPDS example

 
A          R D001                                         
A                                      FONT(420 (*POINTSIZE 14))
** For all the variables in D001 , we use font 420 Courier Roman Bold
  
A            MYVAR1         5A         POSITION(1.4 2.2)        
A                                      FONT(2306 (*POINTSIZE 12))
** You can override this by any other font 2306  Helvetica Roman Italic

A            MYVAR2         5A         POSITION(1.7 2.6)
** If not specified , we print in font 420 Courier Roman Bold

Compile with *AFPDS
