  • Add Menu Bar to a Display

    Trying to figure out how to add a Menu Bar to a display. Basically, we use almost all 24 F-Keys to move around the system and each screen takes you to that screen. i.e:
    F1 always goes to ScreenA, F2 to ScreenB, etc.

    So... here's what I did:
    1) The F-Key descriptions were on lines 22 & 23. They were removed.
    2) Moved everything from lines 1-20 down by 2 (i.e. it now lines 3-22)
    3) Cut & paste a MNUBARCHC from a sample program somebody gave me into the program with three test items.

    Compile gives me the following errors:
    * CPD5238 30 1 Message . . . . : No valid record found in source.
    * CPD7462 20 1 Message . . . . : MNUBARCHC requires MNUBAR at record level.
    * CPD7486 20 1 Message . . . . : Keyword specified at incorrect level.

    Here's the first few lines of the screen:
    Code:
         A**************************************************************************
         A          R FMT01
         A* - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
         A            CHMENU         2Y 0B  1  2
         A                                      MNUBARCHC(1 SCREEN1 'Screen1')
         A                                      MNUBARCHC(2 SCREEN2 'Screen2')
         A                                      MNUBARCHC(3 SCREEN3 'Screen3')
         A                                      OVERLAY
         A* - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
         A            WQPRCNAM  R        O  3  2
         A                                  3 30' Move Proposal Screen '
         A                                      DSPATR(RI)
         A            ACNSUL    R        O  3 55DSPATR(HI)
         A            ACNSU2    R        O  3 64DSPATR(HI)
         A                                  3 73DATE
         A                                      EDTCDE(Y)

    Re: Add Menu Bar to a Display

    Actually, it might not be the menu bar, but a drop down list of screens they can go to. Let me work on this some more and give you a status.
