Sub file within a Sub file

Hello,
Does anyone have a bare-bones code structure of a subfile within a subfile? I have a list of 'Collections' I would like to show in a sub file. Taking an option '5' on one of the 'Collections' will lead you the second sub file with items related to the 'Collection' selected from the first sub file. Pretty basic for you Professionals as this beginner is having a hard time with this. Thanks in advance!
