    Verify Apache Tomcat Installation

    How can we check whether Apache Tomcat is installed on the IBM i or not.

    Does IBM i ships with default Apache Tomcat installation or we have to manually install on the IBM i.

      We have two systems V5R4 and V7R1.

        A long time ago, IBM supplied a version of Tomcat with the OS. It didn't work very well because the version was always way out of date by the time IBM released it. I think they gave up on supporting this -- it just works a lot better if you download and install your own copy of Tomcat.
