  • System i Web Query

A pre-req for this product is listed as
5722-JV1 Java runtime Environment 1.4 or higher

I have most of the Java options installed, but I don't see this in the install options. Is there a seprereate CD to install this? V5R4

This is what I show installed.

5722JC1 *COMPATIBLE IBM Toolbox for Java
5722JV1 *COMPATIBLE IBM Developer Kit for Java
5722JV1 *COMPATIBLE Java Developer Kit 1.3
5722JV1 *COMPATIBLE Java Developer Kit 1.4
5722JV1 *COMPATIBLE Java Developer Kit 5.0
    5722JV1 *COMPATIBLE J2SE 5.0 32 bit

The Install options page looks like

5722JV1 *BASE IBM Developer Kit for Java
    5722JV1 5 Java Developer Kit 1.3
    5722JV1 6 Java Developer Kit 1.4
    5722JV1 7 Java Developer Kit 5.0
    5722JV1 8 J2SE 5.0 32 bit

So where is this "runtime" option ?

That's all we have on our system too. I assumed that the runtime was buried somewhere in there.

To me, Developer Kit > Run time

Maybe I am wrong because the @#%@#%@#%@#% thing isn't working here either.

If you haven't installed this yet, make sure to get NEW instructions. Both the Getting Started and APAR have been updated. Seems IBM missed a step (ENDTCPSVR, STRTCPSVR) that must be done between applying the pre-req PTF's and RSTLICPGM. The instructions were update 10/03 and 10/04.

Woah! Thanks. I was going to apply the PTF's tonight since our system IPLs on Fridays.
