Calling SAP XI Webservice from ISeries

Hi,

We need to call the SAP XI Webservice (SOA) from ISeries. I have little information about executing calls to webservice from ISeries. The call I have to make is a dynamic one. For Eg. I will call the Webservice with an Order no and I will get information about that order. I have read in some forums that standard format is a request - response using XML.

How can I call webservice from ISeries? Is it through some store procedures or something else? I have read about SOAP etc.

Please suggest me the ways to communicate or point me to proper knowledge base.
