IFSTOOL is a set of utilities for the IFS available at no charge from site www.easy400.net .
IFSTOOL includes
- A command to check the existence of an IFS object
- A command to list / print the structure and the size of an IFS directory, root directory included
- A command to find, from a given IFS directory, the stream files containing a given text
- A command to monitor for IFS events.

In the IFSTOOL release dated November 16, 2011 the following features were added:
1-In commands READDIR and SEARCH, parameter DIR now supporting a generic path name (ending with an *)
2-In command SEARCH, ability to investigate also Unicode (CCSID 1208) stream files.
