  • Is there common IFS path where we can find all the source members (all types)?

    Hi,

    1)
Is there any common IFS path where we can find all the source members ( all types) , for all source physical files and their corresponding source libraries?

    2) If Yes, then how to find that path here using WRKLNK etc? Is there any default directory/subdirectory path where all these members could be found?

    3) Once all these source members are found on that specific IFS Path, how to download all of them altogether at once to a local desktop or to a specfic a) folder/subfolder on a specfic disk drive or b) to a specfic drive , one drive or any shared drive etc?

    4) Will CPYFRMIMPF Command be used for the above 3rd step or any other command for the same?

    Thanks.

The simple answer to all of your questions is basically no - or at least in a generic sense that would apply to all IBM i systems. Your question implies that you don't really understand what source physical files are and how they are stored. Even if you got a direct "solution" it would not necessarily retrieve all program sources on the system as some may actually be stored directly in IFS directories as opposed to being in QSYS.

Haven't you been asking a variant of this same question using a different name on other forums?
