  • Transfer the file from AS/400 to PC

    Dear All,

AS/400 Sever Model is "V3R2M0". I am trying to download the file from the AS/400 to PC. We are using the personal communication.
Earlier I can download the file, but all of the sudden I am not able to download the file( or transfer) the file from AS/400 to PC.
The error I am getting is "Transfer Function will be terminated".

    Thanks in Advance!

    Regards,

perhaps your version of Client Access is so far ahead of the OS level that it simply stopped working. one of the first things to crap out when there's a big disparity between the 2 is the communications for certain functions. if all else fails format the data as a csv & either use FTP to get the data from the system or use mapped drive of Ops Nav to drag it down from the system.

Me thinks that V3. is still CISC. That has to be one slow &#$&#$&#$ box.

Thats gotta be it, cause there aint no way a version of Client Access client that could talk to that old of an OS will load and run on any of today's pcs.

V3R6 / V3R7 I think were the first RISC versions. If memory serves, V3r6 was the Risc version of 3r1, and 3.7 was the risc version of 3.2.

            V3R1 was certainly CISC.
