  • Power On & Off Schedule

I try to set my IBM R600 Server to schedule power off and on at midnight. But it seems doesn't work at all. I have set the schedule in Power On and Off Tasks menu. Do i miss out any step?

Kindly help me on this. Thank you in advance.

I set the power off time at 03:00:00 and power on time at 04:00:00.
Is it i miss out something in system value?

Don't know why it won't work. But IMHO, why are you even powering it off/on? It is much harder on mechanical components to power them off/on than to leaving them running. I have over the years encountered more problems with systems when powering them on. I have 4 PCs at home that never get powered off.
        Just my opinion.

The schedule kinda runs backwards if I remember correctly......

I am with bill on this one ...we do it here by weekly saves job at end it just does

            Ditto here ...

I do an EndSYS and do all my backups, then PwrDwnSYS Restart( *YES ) to bring everything back up (via the QSTRUP)

Don't normally tend to turn them off unless you can see smoke coming out.
We do all our backups etc while it's up and active, only take them down for hardware maintenance (Adding disk towers etc)
