Hi all!
I am getting my new PC up and running and one of the last tasks before killing off my old computer is transferring the console over to the new PC.
I installed Client Access and configured the Iseries console to use QCONSOLE2 just like the old.
Apparently there is a password that the client and the AS/400 use to authorize each other that changes each time and must be in sync.
I went into service tools, I go into option 8 Work with service tools user IDs and Devices.
I try to take option 2 Service tools device IDs but get the following message: "The user can not perform the option selected"
Ok, no problem, I go to here to look up the solution:
It says to go into service tools and change an option under FLIGHTLOG. I have followed these instructions to the letter several times and it does not work.
I get this when I try it:
Start DST Security function
Security operation not performed.
I've tried this using QSECOFR and QSRV and neither work. I have checked my job log and DSPLOG and there's no information at all.
sigh!
Any ideas?
Thank you!
