Re: Constructing an SQL string in Java

Currently I'm running 7.0.0 with no problems. I'm going to upgrade and see if anything goes wrong...I'm in the middle of updating the installation manager right now. I'll let you know if I find anything out. I would put a call into IBM though.

Re: Constructing an SQL string in Java

Ok, so here is what happened with my upgrade...

I was getting an error in my console telling me that it couldn't find the path to a project that I was working on yesterday. So I right clicked on the server and went to Add and Remove Projects. Then I removed all the projects from the right pane. Then I went back into my Project Explorer and ran the jsp I wanted. This will automatically add the project to the server and republish everything. It seemed to work just fine for me.

Thats all that I could figure out...

Re: Constructing an SQL string in Java

Well, I got on the phone with IBM support and first, they thought it might have been a corruption between the server and the workspace. So, I created a new workspace and imported the projects into it. However, it did the same thing. Then, they had to do the "assist on-site" (where you share control of your computer with them). After about 45 minutes of that, he still couldn't find out what it was. So, we're supposed to continue the session today. I'll let you know what's up.

This crap is crazy, man. He thought it might have been something to do with how deep my workspace is in the windows directory. I created another workspace directly on the C drive, then tried it. Didn't work. Then, he told me to go into the server administrative console and change the log detail level to *=finest. I ran index.jsp and sent him the console messages. He said he would look at them and get back with me.

I bet it will be some stupid little setting somewhere.

Re: Constructing an SQL string in Java

Knowing my luck, that's exactly what it will be. Or, I will have gotten a virus-infested version of WDSC that no one else in the world has. It will ultimately crash the hard drive, and I'll lose everything since my last backup. That's more like my luck.

Maybe your issues will cause them to issue another bug fix I'm quite interested to find out what the issue is. I'm glad that I can continue to be productive
