File Type - Output File will lock file

File type Output File will lock file during written operation?
I assuming that file will be locked by Update File.

A file open for output-only will place a *SHRRD lock on the file, a *SHRRD lock on the member, and a *SHRUPD lock on the data within the member.

Is that what you are asking?

Wouldn't it be much quicker to try it and see what it does than it is to ask a forum?
