  • QjoRetrieveJournalEntries for journal with MINDTAENT(*YES)

We want to save disk space. Therefore, the idea is to use MINDTAENT(*FLDBDY) for journals.

Reading the contents of journals with key 22 set to *YES returns an image of the entire record, with values of fields with changes. When the field value has not been modified, the default value is returned. This is according to IBM documentation.

However, the local IBM representative claims that in the read entry I can find using "a magic pointer" record with all fields with value.
Of course, he can't point such pointer.

The question is: Can you read the journal entry record with all fields when journal is set to MINDTAENT(*FLDBDY)?
