HowTo Get LAN Console Working?

Hi,

I got a AS400 Modell 800 some weeks ago and now I want to configure it. The problem is, I can't connect to the LAN Console.
Sometimes it worked great and sometimes (like right now) it won't work.

Since I restarted the Operations Console on my Windows 7 PC the connection won't work...
Someone have a idea?

I've had luck with an XP laptop, but have never attempted with Windows 7.

Are you saying it works sometimes or since windows 7 it has NEVER worked?

It already worked yesterday with my Windows 7 notebook. Since reboot the connection won't work...
Do I have to do something on the control panel?

I solved the problem! I found a option in "strsst" where I can set the default IP for the LAN Console.
I only have less experience with iSeries, if someone have some tips, it would be very nice!
