    Hiya folks,

I wanted to let people know that I have begun blogging about my experience, so anyone interested in what happened to me can find out by following the blog, here:

Don't worry guys. I will beat this thing one way or another. And I will be back.

FWIW -- this is only the first installation. I plan to write more updates every wednesday and sunday until I catch up to my actual progress (which is much further ahead than what I've posted so far.)

        Thanks for the blog Scott,

I am insanely pleased that you stuck to your guns to get the treatment required, and didn't just go home to sleep off the tiredness, though probably not as glad as you are

I have this image of you chilling back, being fed grapes and rehabbing those veins - take care, and happy healing!

Wow. Thanks for posting this, Scott. I'm sure you realize that you have many people that care about you that you don't even know. As thankful as we all are that you're getting better, of course your family must be infinitely more relieved.

I know I'm not alone in having been helped many times by your involvement in the community. I've learned from and enjoyed your articles, posts, and the times I've seen and spoken with you at COMMON, etc. I appreciate your knowledge, dedication, and your sense of humor.

Anyway, good luck with your continued progress and we look forward to seeing you back in full force!

Wow that is incredible and I am so glad you didn't give in and insisted you be checked further. Too often folks think you do not have to challenge your doctor/hospital when you don't agree with the diagnosis. I look forward to hearing more about your recovery, thank you for sharing.

Re: What Happend to Scott Klement?

Wow Scott - that was/is quite an ordeal!

I first found out that you were in the hospital when a colleague of mine & myself placed a call to Profound, to explain a project that we are considering undertaking. The person whom I spoke with (who shall remain nameless) wasn't sure if you wanted anyone to know what was going on, so I didn't volunteer any (mis)information on this or any other forum.

I forwarded this thread to the colleague I mentioned above - he just informed me that he has a friend who had a very similar thing (AVM in the brain) happen to him, back in 2009. Only difference was, he just fell down & got a huge headache (but not paralyzed). But, the same underlying cause. My colleague told me that he is fully recovered (and is back playing tennis).

Bottom line - I'm glad to hear that they found the issue, and that you are recovering. You've been an inspiration to more people than you realize.

My colleague forwarded me this poem that his friend, who suffered the AVM, had written:
                    Code:

                    There’s trouble with my mind
I wish it all could be fine
I was sitting at my desk
Thinking all in need is rest

The pressure in side my brain
Makes me feel I’m going insane
                    I can’t stand up, can’t sit down
Please don’t give me a permanent frown

                    For better or for worst
Something in my brain was cursed

                    I want to walk
                    I want to talk
I want to live my life again
                    I want to rock
                    Just like Spock
I want to live my life in Zen

                    Walking around feeling fine
                    Something exploded in my mind
I’m scared as hell why can’t I yell
I must be in a hypnotic spell

I’m confused; no longer caused by booze
All I want to do is lay down and snooze
This is not a sobriety test
Was all this caused by too much stress?

                    Chorus

                    I’m scared, I cry and I don’t know why
I know I don’t want to be in the sky
I’m kicking, beating and screaming inside
                    I think I can, I think I can; survive

                    Chorus

Nice work on the rehab Scott, keep it up. I wish it wasn't such a long commute from here or I'd pop in to say Hi

Great news (except the frozen pizza thing) there is a reason you haven't had one in a long time..

We would expect nothing less from you than a full recovery. Keep moving forward for your family first and
