Problem with RDP v7.6 verify or outline

Running 7.6.0.2 on Win 7/64.
Recently, I can no longer run either "verify" or "refresh outline". In either case, the system starts the program, but never finishes (I have let it go for as long as 2 hours on a small program).

Using an older XP machine, it updates in seconds. I have cleared the cache already, makes no difference. Any have a solution for this ?

no clue about that version of RDp I'm running v8 of RDp on a Win7/64 bit with a few quirks (i think the last patch they put out rectified most of those). if you're running multiple cores perhaps setting the core affinity to a single core would alleviate the problem (sometimes the threading, etc. gets confused with multiple processors)
