Copy/Paste very slow

I am using WDSC Version: 5.1.2 - Build id: 20040609_0820. Trying to copy source from one member to another is painfully slow. Is there anything I can do about this? Is this normal? Do I need to update WDSC to a newer version? If so, how do I go about doing that? Thanks for any thoughts you might be willing to share.

Upgrade, upgrade, upgrade. 5.1.2 was slow when it was new, and that was several years ago. What version of i5/OS are you running on your server? The last time you upgraded the OS, you should have received a new CD/DVD with the latest version ready to install. As long as you have a licensed copy of the development tools (PGM, SEU, SDA) on your server, you can upgrade to a newer version of WDSc. I believe you should be entitled to version 7.0.

Our development box is at 5.4 and our production system is 6.1. I'll ask the system admin for the CD's and try upgrading... I thought I might get this response. Thanks.
