Several authors have already released tools for checking the existence of IFS objects.
Nevertheless here comes my utility, see page http://www.easy400.net/chkifsobj/html/page1.htm .
It doesn't just tell whether an IFS object exists.
It provides the following information:
- object type
- object size
- CCSID
- timestamps of last data and last attribute changes
- timestamp of last access
- access modes available to requesting user
This CHKIFSOBJ utility is free and includes sources.
