  • How to transfer Files from 2 Different AS400 Servers?

    Aside from using FTP command, Are there any other ways to transfer data from 2 different AS/400 servers?

    use navigator to drag/drop from one to the other is another way. what's wrong with FTP?

        If you only need to transfer data from DB files, have a look to DDMF

          Thanks! sometimes the source code that is transfered from one server to another is distorted. And sometimes the file transfer time is quite long.

            If you are asking for other way to transfer data, you can always use the Client Access Data transfer from and Data transfer to functionalities.

            But if you are up with the ease and speed, in my case i would use FTP mget and mput.

              or you can use some replication software, if you already have a license for some stuff such as "MIMIX" for the 2 systems, then just add your source file libra5ry to the definitions and **magic** it is auto-schmatically transferred whenever there is a change made.

                You could pull the DASD from Machine A and put it into Machine B and IPL.

                I'm with GC here .. how many chances do we get?
